Updates I promised half a year ago ... -_-;;; *SHOT*
Let's see......
Aw man, nothing interesting happened to me the past year! T_T
Well, some points worth mentioning:
- Graduated with a Master of Arts in Linguistics. With Distinction. YATTA! (I feel SO MUCH OLDER NOW TOO)
- Granny (materal side) passed away in March. I miss her so much, because she's the sweetest, cutest granny alive. I'm so glad I found the bracelet that she gave me, that I thought i dropped in the streets. It was just under my mattress! T V T !!
- My bro's studying in Regina, Saskatchewan right now. Which means sooner or later, and the fact that I have relatives in Toronto, I'll have some bigger reason / excuse to head over to good o'l Canada to visit. You peepz who're still there! TELLL MEEEEEEE coz I'll need somewhere to stay or something. XD;;; (anyone still in Cowtow--- I mean Calgary? Or was that Edmonton?) Allie, you in Toronto now or something? ._.;;; Helllooo?
- Found myself a guy. (yeah, that was weird. Haha. And yes, whoever he is, he does have a death wish to be with me XP)
- Kinda got involved in this Education Support thing for rural areas in Yunnan, so that's where I headed off to AGAIN in Dec 2006. I'm really starting to like life on a farm more than life in Hong Kong. >_> (cows....)
Hm..... OK, I suppose that's practically everything interesting. *yawn*
I was surfing through some of my old sites just now (I'm bored at work coz boss isn't back yet to give me piles of stuff to do), and I do feel rather bad for leaving behind things that were such a big part of me back in those days ... (i.e. 1 or 2 years ago O_o;)
So .... new year resolution! Get a hobby back, keep in touch with friends, GET AIM WORKING GODDAMNIT and ... yeah, hang around. XD;;

Life has been fluctuating between busy and not-so-busy, and I've been quite distracted by RL and some people in my RL .... which explains my absence from the 'net.

I had SUCH a weird dream last night! @_@;;
... that I was dating some guy that resembled Dante from Devil May Cry. Or maybe it WAS Dante, because I can feel the cheese......!
I can't decide if it was a *good* dream! I mean, it wasn't freaky, but I woke up going UGHHHHHH! O_o;
Dante is too much cheese for my liking! Tho, I have to say, he does look cool. :P
Devil May Cry 3 must be haunting me... OK, I'll try to finish the game later. But they went WAY too far with the attitude problem that I simply can't stop cringing.
That was probably why my stomach decided it didn't want to behave and I ended up throwing up gastric juice at 4 in the morning. -_-;;; Bleeeeh. Stomach still feeling a bit queezy. x.x;;

Well! ^_^ I got my character on MCM ... Zelas. Again. Phun! X3 Teehee. And after bugging disposableninja a lot, I finally managed to figure out how to use the combat system!
I feel so dumb. :P
That. And the first thing I did with Zelas was making a complete fool out of myself on IC-Broadband channel! Somehow, it didn't quite click and register that it was 1) a RADIO and 2) friggen' IC!!
I guess I didn't quite know what I was doing early morning... and I tend to have a thing for making myself look like a complete idiot. :P

Been busy. Not with anything special in particular. Just with IRL, friends coming back from overseas and heading off again... enjoying my last -real- summer holidays... Some friends having relationship problems that need a shoulder and some vodka .... General stuff like that. ^_^;
Welp. I learnt how to make Bloody Mary at home! Mmm. Tomato juice.
That, and I secured myself a master of arts place ... and work. Research Assistant. Not bad, eh? Ha! Shifted from Bioinformatics to Linguistics. Welllllll.... it's still biology-based coz I'll be working with stuff on the brain. Functional magnetic resonance imaging, if that makes sense to anyone. XD
Damn, I feel so much like a geek that I love myself. *_*
So.... yes. And I miss MUCKing. Now that I FINALLY fixed my computer at work, I could try to go on that new MUSH disposableninja was talking about earlier. Mmm. Zelas. :3
Oh. And I've been having weird dreams lately. ~_~ While the scenes are different, it's more or less the same dream. Weirdage. I don't know if I like them or not. They're kinda frightening, really. c.c; But oh so cuddly at the same time. *O*

JOB HUNTING
While... yes... I do have an offer for a Master of Arts in Linguistics here, but still, I gotta earn some $$$ for the tuition fees and shtuff I need to pay for. Not to mention travel expenses! I'm planning to go to Japan! *_* Sad how we were supposed to go in July/August ... but because I feel bad about using my parents' money and not being useful (my parents outta be proud!) and one of those peepz who said would be going isn't now .... we decided to postpone our trip till winter! :D ... Then we can visit lovely Hokkaido (snoooowwww~) and probably grab a Shinkansen down to Tokyo/Osaka. Yay for long train rides! @_@
But that's all in planning. We'll see what happens. c.c;
I've been doing some artsy stuff, most of them stuffed here --> MY DEVIANTART ACCOUNT! Not a lot of stuff, but ... hey! I'm lazy! I'm trying out photomanipulation these days, and I'm happy with this one. :D
Oh... watched a few movies. A Hitchiker's Guide to the Galaxy (So long~~ and thanks for the fish~!), Batman Begins, Mr & Mrs Smith..... I think that's it. All great movies. Must watch. XD;; Batman Begins kinda reminds me of how "old" I'm getting because I've actually started watching it when he was still in GREY tights and Robin was still BRIGHT RED.... hmm. I miss Joker. XD

Has anyone read the Les Elfes trilogy ((La Nuit des Elfes, Le Crépuscule des Elfes and L'Heure des Elfes) by Jean-Louis Fetjaine? Since I have to order them online (considering I have NO idea where they sell French books here in Hong Kong), I want to make sure they're worth reading. C_C Well? Anyone? *_*;;

Talk about weird dreams. o_o; I had the freakiest dream...
First, 5 bucks for those who can name my biggest fear...

NO!!!!!!! @_@;
Yeah, it's bugs! insects! Anything with more than 6 legs or none anyway ... >_>;
So... dreamage:
I was in my dorm room. My roommate and one of my floormates (Maggie) was with me.
There was this HUGE fly thingy on the wall and we swatted it dead. Instead of leaving a blog of goo known as its corpse, what was left on the wall was a BIG plastic (?!) transparent container filled with its eggs! And we could see the different developmental stages of the "babies" (can't say larva, because they were becoming FLIES... something wrong with my biology here) ... and one of them was about to hatch into a HUGE adult soon! So Maggie said she'll go get something to clean it all up, and left. And left for a long time .... but the egg was about to hatch! ... So I told my roommate that I was gonna go get Maggie, but my roomie told me to watch out for the "12Y" on the ground -- which turned out to be another HUGE flying insect thing... and it was about to fly towards me, so I jumped into bed and buried myself under the covers!!!
I must have been studying too much on Drosophila ...... ||||||||||||||
But there's more!
The scene somehow changed and I was in Edo Japan or something, riding some horse carriage thing with a cover. The top snapped or something and I could see the sky from where I was sitting. Then one the guards (??) reached up and snatched a spider from the top ... but instead of "saving me" and tossing it away, he let it dangle in front of my face and it kept on slapping against my nose!!
It SOOOOOOOOOOOO freaked me out!! @__@;;;;;;;; ....
Thank goodness one of my friends called and woke me up. T___T
Oh, I have such fear of spiders and ... well, basically anything with 6 legs or more, or none. >_>;;;
But it's interesting how hardly anyone knew that I feared these things the most. o_o;;; Yes, I AM afraid of the robot thingy in Laputa ... but not -this- afraid. Hahaha. @_@;;

Final year project done! Life is beautiful now. I've been living (more or less) like a hermit these few weeks trying to put everything together ... trying to get everything to work and ... trying to get my supervisors to understand what I've been doing, and persuade them to give me good marks. XD Haha.
I managed to put together a decent report on what I've been doing: Testing Phylogenetic Footprinting. What the heck -is- phylogenetic footprinting? Well, I doubt anyone would wanna know ... or maybe ... 'sides arcticayeka XD;; Who is so sciency! So, onee-san? X3
Anyhow.... did anyone miss me? Well? WELLLLL?????? c.c;; I see you guys have been quite interested in my .... weird lovelife from the meme in my previous post. I agree with the 1st "key". And the 2nd (I probably like torturing myself, yes...). And the 4th. And definitely the 5th.
As for the others... especially the one on cheating .... I have no idea. 9_9 Marriage? Oh yeah, it sounds nice. That does mean I don't have to work and can live off my husband, yes?
